Lifetimes in Clay
The artists worked both independently and collaboratively delivering interactive workshops to the communities in and around Thomas Boughey Children’s Centre over a two-month period. A series of workshops were specifically developed and tailored to the groups taking part.

Cannock Hospital Ceramics Project
The staff wanted to help people get back to more normal activities by being part of something and participating in an activity. The hospital patients and staff were very much part of developing the purpose and design of their piece. They wanted to create four triangles, embellished with relief and cast ceramic pieces, which would come together to form a pyramid, representing Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs.

Stonefield Sensory Garden Project
The occupational therapy team and the lead artist at Stonefield House worked in collaboration with the service users to plan the garden project. The idea was to create a part of the garden where service users could relax and chill out.

Kinver Unit Photography Project

The idea for the project came from service users on the ward who wanted to brighten up their dining area. Following a consultation phase, people then took part in a series of four photography workshops which explored a range of image-making techniques and included landscape photography, kaleidoscope-making, pinhole photography and light-painting.

Falls Prevention Dance Group

The group use scarves, feathers, umbrellas, bowler hats and canes as props to assist them in their dancing together. They learn set dances as well as improvisation and group dances.

Mandays
The photography group is one of several activities facilitated by Mandays. The men are either referred to the project or self-referred. The group have worked with Tony and a variety of other photographers and related professionals to develop skills in and around photography.
